Outcomes for employees
The service is partly funded by government grants that are used to support the people with intellectual disability in our employ. The aim of the service is to promote independence, self esteem and an enhanced quality of life. Supported employees receive a wage based on individual production capacity. Our policies and practices are monitored and accredited by the Commonwealth Department of Families, Housing, Community Support and Indigenous Affairs.

Accommodation

Thorndale Residential Services enables people with disability to live in a positive environment with professional, least restrictive philosophy and support. We provide advocacy support to enable residents to realise their individual capacities and aspirations, be active participants in all aspects of life. Thorndale Ability Programs (TAPs)

TAPs is a range of centre-based community programs, catering for a range of ages, skills and culturally and linguistically diverse participants. The service philosophy is based on individual support needs with appropriate life skills and life styles programs. TAPs encourages the achievement of goals chosen by each individual and through active community participation to foster personal growth and the building of self esteem.
