We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a black and gold themed 'Thorndale Gala Night' at St Marys Rugby Leagues Club on 19 May.
The money we raise from the fundraising Gala night will be directed to fund a state of the art sensory facility for people with high to exceptional support needs, this will be the first of its kind in outer Western Sydney. This facility will provide support to not only adults with a disability but also children with a disability and the elderly living in our community.
A Sensory Room at a cost of $90,000, is a specially designed room which combines a range of stimuli to help individuals develop and engage their senses. These can include lights, colours, sounds, sensory soft play objects, aromas all within a safe environment that allows the person using it to explore and interact without risk. Sensory rooms can help those who have learning difficulties, developmental disabilities or sensory impairments learn to interact with the world around them, but in a safe environment that builds up their confidence and their ability.
The Thorndale Gala ticket price includes a three course meal, drinks, entertainment, silent auction, live auction, a wine wall, games, raffles and much more, so come and join the fun and also support a great cause within the Nepean community.
Thank you for your support and we hope you and your Team can make it.
The Thorndale Gala website has gone live and tickets are now available to purchase, refer to link below.

Yesterday our LLL service held their very own Christmas party and awards ceremony to cap off another fantastic year at Thorndale.
The participants were presented with achievement certificates & a gold medallion for the amazing achievements in 2017 by Team Leader, Gayle Goddard. This was followed by a round of singing Christmas carols & some individual talent performances.
After the entertaining morning, everyone sat down for a lovely chicken & salad lunch topped of with a range of scrump didily umptious desserts. After lunch the Participants were lucky enough to get an early surprise visit from Santa; who presented them all with a gift of homemade (LLL program made) shortbread & a Christmas card.
The afternoon was then topped off with a mini Christmas disco.
We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, have a wonderful and safe break! We look forward to more exciting times with you all next year! ...
